Our offshore Foreign Exchange Service offers competitive rates which are commission free. You can book our 'Spot Value' exchange rates for international payments in any of the currencies listed in the table below. The Spot Value date is two working days from when you book the exchange, so you know the exact rate you are dealing at.

You can use our offshore Foreign Exchange Service to:
1. Exchange currency between your accounts
- Exchange GBP, USD or EUR between your Abbey International currency accounts. You would need to have accounts open in at least two of these currencies.
2. Send money overseas
- Send your GBP, USD or EUR away via an electronic international payment in any of the currencies listed above.
- For example, you might need to send some Australian dollars (AUD) to Australia. Instead of sending a payment in GBP you could exchange it with us for AUD here, and then send the AUD with the comfort of knowing the exact exchange rate first.
- Although our Foreign Exchange rates are commission free, there will be an international payment charge. Please see our Charges sheet for more information.
3. Send money to us
- You can send us money in any of the currencies listed above. We will exchange it for you to credit your GBP, USD or EUR account. Details of how to do this are in the Electronic Transfers Form.
- You can also send us a cheque in any of the currencies in the above table. As currency cheques are sent for collection, they can take some time to clear. Please see our Charges sheet for cheque collection costs. Once the funds have cleared we can exchange them for you and credit your GBP, USD or EUR account.
